November - Book Week
Set aside an entire school day for reading-related activities. Invite students to bring to school pillows, stuffed animals, and their favorite books. Set aside time for students to do silent reading; reading with buddies; reading to younger students; and listening to younger students read. Break up the reading with your favorite book-related activities and with some of these additional ideas.
MAP mini- Olympics
Theme: T.W.I.S.T. (Teamwork Will Inspire Students and Teachers)MAP focus shall be on bettering one’s achievements than coming in first! Students learn best from tasks that involve doing tasks and involve social interactions. Kids will establish a sense of ownership towards their role in the group because they committed themselves to goals they helped create. Students make a conscious effort to be honest, and respectful as we introduce good sportsmanship.
